A new tape called Pohjoisen kesä (Northern Summer) is out now on Jozik Records.
Recorded 10.6.–7.7.2012 in Oulu, Helsinki and Tallinn.
FM radio, wine glass, tapes, etc.
Recorded with one hand.

Here’s what the label says about it:

Olli Aarni “Pohjoisen kesä” C30

So distant, yet so close and warm. Relaxing sounds of radio frequencies. Ambient music for nights and days, mornings and evenings. Soft poly cases with hand-stamped inserts. Limited to 50 copies.

I’m playing a show tonight in Kiasma at 21:00, welcome!

Some new things:

A collaboration between Luca Massolin (Golden Cup), Sasha Kretova and Dmitri Zherbin (Banana Pill) and me is now released by Ikuisuus.

Time Released Sound released a debut full lenght album by Night Shift. I play some instruments and electronics on the record. The deluxe edition is really worth seeing!

I also participated on a project called Signalvoid which is a compilation of one minute long noise tracks. Many great artists were involved. You can download the whole thing here.

Next week I’ll be playing in Höstfest in Jyväskylä, Finland.
